Ruby red with slight garnet reflections
Red rose, blackberries, spicy, mineral
Soft, enveloping, pleasantly tannic, balanced
16-18 °C
The Notes of the Sommelier:
Limpid, ruby red in color with slight garnet reflections. The nose is intense, with floral hints of red
rose, and fruity notes of blackberries and black mulberries from Etna in attack; spicy hints of black
pepper and mineral reminiscent of flint on the second nose. Same concentration on the palate, still
showing well-defined tannic texture; perfectly balanced between an enveloping softness and a
pleasant freshness that leads to a second sip and reveals a bright ageing potential.
Food and wine pairings:
This wine play well with a selection of cold cut and medium-aged cheeses, or with pappardelle with
meat sauce, or with a traditional Sicilian “falsomagro” – stuffed beef roll- in tomato sauce, or with a
juicy roasted lamb with rosemary potatoes.
