A family tradition

Tenuta Papale is an agricultural company that has been dedicating itself with passion to the cultivation of vineyards and olive groves for over a century, trying to combine tradition and innovation, in order to obtain wine and oil with unique characteristics.

The company is located in Belpasso, a small town on the slopes of Etna on the south side of the volcano, situated in the heart of eastern Sicily and within the DOC area.

Tenuta Papale is a family story, everything started around the 1950’s with grandfather and grandmother Papale selling their master wine from inside their own home.

Over the years the cultivation of the vines and the olive trees have become a family tradition and still today is the pulsating heartbeat of our estate.

Since 2014 the management of the company has been in the hands of Giuseppe who, together with his sister Maria Giovanna , represent the third generation of the family and the desire to make the territory and the beauty of its fruits known.

Our clients are at the center of our company. We have always been committed in bringing the beauties and the warmth of our land to the tables with passion, love and respect for nature, values that guide our work daily.

Our varieties

The vineyard area is strategically distributed in terraces of volcanic rock at 750 meter in altitude. Cultivated with Nerello Mascalese and Nerello Cappuccio grapes, particularly indicated for the production of young and fresh wine, but also more complex and structured blend primarily Etna Rosso.

The work process is the similar for the entire product  (steel silos)  but the refinement process is articulated in different stages.

The preferred olive variety is the Nocellara Etna, considered the best Italian cultivars because of its intrinsic peculiarities and vigorous   appearance.

The love for our traditions and our respect for nature are the values that inspire our work daily, as we desire to guarantee our customers genuine and high quality products.
