Ruby red tending to garnet
Wilted flowers, black berries, sweet spices, tobacco
Soft, silky tannins, elegant, persistent
16-18 °C
The Notes of the Sommelier:
Despite its age, the wine is easily crossed by light, still giving a wonderful ruby red that turns to
garnet. The nose shows hints of dried rose and small black berry fruits, and then turns onto a
range of tertiary hints with mineral notes of graphite, sweet spices, and tobacco. On the palate it
reveals its maturity, with a smooth mouthfeel and silky tannins; a Vintage Reserve that still
surprises with new evolutionary paths.
Food and wine pairings:
Ideal with braised beef, stewed wild boar and game; excellent as a meditation wine in a pleasant
conversation.
